In many countries, daylight saving time begins in the spring. This means that we set our clocks ahead one hour, giving us more daylight in the evenings. While this can take some getting used to, it’s a welcome change for many people who enjoy longer days and warmer weather.

It occurs on March 20 or 21 each year and is a time when day and night are roughly equal in length.
